LECTURE SUMMARY: The United Arab Emirates have some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, but also the most dangerous. The Global View Commando Team will be delivering a lecture on the survival techniques employed by the world’s elite expeditionary fighting soldiers. You will learn skills that will not only allow you to survive but thrive in the harshest of environments. You will hear examples of some of the greatest feats of man versus nature…….and some examples of just pure blind fluke. Expedition preparation, planning and safety will ensure your next adventure will not be your last.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Max Carter is a founding partner of Global View Commando and has received and delivered advanced survival training across the world throughout his 15-year career in the Royal Marines. Now a renowned instructor and expedition leader his efforts are being concentrated in the UAE whilst establishing the desert survival expeditions before moving to Brazil to take on the rainforest.

Adam Lund, also a founding partner of Global View Commando has 14 years of experience in the Middle East and is the driving force behind the business development of the company. A well-travelled adventurer come entrepreneur with a vast knowledge of advanced survival training and techniques having worked along-side the Royal Marines in a training advisory role.

Peter Langley (Pete) served for 13 years in the Royal Marine Commandos and spent much of his career working in the Middle East at sea on anti-piracy and maritime interdiction operations. An experienced instructor, Pete has worked in kinetic theatres training many foreign forces. Now head of Global View Commando’s logistical arm, he will be turning his attention to developing our Arctic survival school later in the year.

The GVC team have recently deployed to the Thula Thula game reserve in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, with Veterans For Wildlife, a UK based charity. Our instructors have been training anti-poaching teams who will be protecting the survival of the Black Rhino species and their guardians at the reserve.
