This year, the three day Eid Al Adha holiday coincides nicely with the preceding two day weekend and the end of the monsoon in Salalah. It is a rare opportunity to see it blanketed in bright Irish green after the downpours have ceased. Here is the proposed agenda:

Please include the following information: your name, email address, mobile phone number, number in your party, type of vehicle you have and, if you have an off-road vehicle, number of riders you can accommodate. Meeting point and other details will be given by return email to all participants. And be sure to make a booking for your party at one of the hotels/guest houses in Ibri for Thursday night, Oct. 2.

 

Agenda

Thursday, Oct. 2 โ€“ Depart Abu Dhabi and drive to Ibri (3 hours) Leave Abu Dhabi at 4:00 p.m., arrive in Ibri at 7:00 p.m. Overnight in a hotel or guest house. Those who are signing up for this trip are responsible for making their own bookings and should do so ASAP.
Friday, Oct. 3 โ€“ Drive to Salalah (10 hours) and, upon arrival, make camp on a beach 50km to the west of town.
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, Oct. 4, 5 and 6 โ€“ the following activities are all being considered: Tour the Geyser Cliff, Queen of Shebaโ€™s Palace, Job Masaleum, Salalah Nuseum Day trip to Wadi Hinna Baobab Snokeling and scuba diving Tour of the Frankincense Suq Day trip to an avian reserve
Tuesday, Oct.7 โ€“ Drive back to Abu Dhabi (13 hours)
